Answers :- No, Margie had never seen a book before.

उत्तर:- नहीं, मार्गी ने इससे पहले कभी कोई किताब नहीं देखी थी।

Answers :- She found its yellow and wrinkled pages strange. She also found the words strange.

उत्तर :- उसे उसके पीले और झुर्रीदार पन्ने अजीब लगे। उसे शब्द भी अजीब लगे।

Answers :- A telebook is a book that can be displayed on a screen for educating or entertaining people.

उत्तर :- टेलीबुक एक ऐसी पुस्तक है जिसे स्क्रीन पर लोगों को शिक्षित करने या उनका मनोरंजन करने के लिए प्रदर्शित किया जा सकता है।

 

6 Where was Margie’s school ? Did she have any classmates ?

6 मार्गी का स्कूल कहाँ था ? क्या उसका कोई सहपाठी था ?

Answers :- Margie’s school was her own room.  She did not have any classmates.

उत्तर:- मार्गी का स्कूल उनका अपना कमरा था। उसका कोई सहपाठी नहीं था।

Answers :- Margie learnt Geography and Mathematics. Tommy learnt History and Mathematics.

उत्तर:- मार्गी ने भूगोल और गणित सीखा। टॉमी ने इतिहास और गणित सीखा।

Ans (iii) It is contrasted with a television teacher (mechanical teacher).

Ans 1. They had mechanical teachers in the form of television or computer teachers. It was the year 2157. Science had replaced ‘men’ teachers with ‘computer’ teachers.

उत्तर 1. उनके पास टेलीविजन या कंप्यूटर शिक्षकों के रूप में यांत्रिक शिक्षक थे। यह 2157 का वर्ष था। विज्ञान ने 'पुरुष' शिक्षकों को 'कंप्यूटर' शिक्षकों के साथ बदल दिया था।

Ans  2. Margie's mother sent her for the county inspector as Margie had been doing the Geography test very badly given by the mechanical teacher.

उत्तर २. मार्गी की माँ ने उसे काउंटी निरीक्षक के पास भेजा क्योंकि मार्गी यांत्रिक शिक्षक द्वारा दिए गए भूगोल की परीक्षा बहुत बुरी तरह से कर रही थी।

Ans 3. He visited Margie’s home. He took away the mechanical teacher. He set its Geography level equal to Margie’s mental level.

उत्तर 4. मार्गी भूगोल में खराब प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे क्योंकि स्क्रीन पर भूगोल क्षेत्र गलती से उच्च स्तर पर समायोजित हो गया था।

Ans 5. The History sector of Tommy’s mechanical teacher had blanked out completely. So they took it away for nearly a month.

उत्तर 5. टॉमी के यांत्रिक शिक्षक का इतिहास क्षेत्र पूरी तरह से खाली हो गया था। इसलिए उन्होंने इसे लगभग एक महीने के लिए छीन लिया।

Ans 6. Yes, Margie had regular days and hours for school. The Television screen used to be on at the same time every day except for Saturday and Sunday. It is because children learn better if they learn at regular hours.

उत्तर 6. हाँ, मार्गी के पास स्कूल के लिए नियमित दिन और घंटे थे। टेलीविजन स्क्रीन शनिवार और रविवार को छोड़कर हर रोज एक ही समय पर चालू होता था। ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि बच्चे नियमित समय पर सीखते हैं तो बेहतर सीखते हैं।
